The Luxurious Green Wedding in Ghana
Edna & Selorm
When Edna and Selorm were introduced by a mutual friend in 2014, they did not know it would be the beginning of their happily ever after. After the introduction, they exchanged contact numbers and planned their first date a few days after. Edna and Selorm felt an instant connection and three years after dating, he proposed to her. Two years after the proposal, the two tied the knot at the Accra Marriott Hotel in the presence of family and friends, who had witnessed their journey of love.
The colour scheme for the lavish event was emerald green and this was epic in the décor, as well as the bridesmaids’ dresses.
Edna and Selorm being a fun couple wanted to infuse their youthful energy into the entire event, and always wanted their guests engaged the entire duration. The wedding reception begun with an overflow of champagne, then a hearty dinner followed by a party which lasted for hours. Edna wore an ivory mermaid tulle ruffled gown from Xclusive Bridals for her big day and the bridesmaids wore emerald green lace and tulle dresses custom made by Style by Awodela.
The groom wore an ivory brocade suit made to perfection by Eric Tailors.
The groomsmen wore black suits by Eric Tailors.
“I had butterflies in my tummy when the song preparing me to walk down the aisle started playing. I had a strong emotional moment and though we had months of preparation for this fabulous once in a lifetime event, I was hit by every emotion you can think of. I was happy, excited, nervous, anxious, even scared; it finally dawned on me that I WAS FINALLY GETTING MARRIED to the man of my dreams!
Walking down the aisle was surreal; I had been looking forward to this day my whole life and once I got up to the altar, saw my husband who held my hands, whispered in my ears how beautiful I looked, I knew this was the best moment of my life and I savoured every moment of our wedding.”
“Our most memorable moment was when we held hands, looked deep into each other’s eyes and exchanged our vows at the altar. No one seemed to matter except the two of us, our union and the lifetime we had ahead of us.
We felt happiness, warmth and peace.”
“During the wedding party held after dinner, it was obvious how everyone, both young and old seemed to be having so much fun and showing off their dance moves. This was exactly how we had imagined our wedding to be; surrounded by family and friends who shared in our joy and we certainly danced until our feet were sore and the décor team had to literally pack up. Lol!”
